Laser cutting machine parameter adjustment method and precautions

The parameters that determine the cutting quality are: cutting height, cutting type, focus position, cutting force, cutting frequency, cutting ratio, cutting air pressure and cutting speed. Hard conditions include: protective glasses, gas purity, sheet quality, condenser mirrors, and collimating mirrors.
When the quality of fiber laser cutting is poor, a comprehensive inspection is recommended. The main contents and order of the general inspection are:
1. Cutting height (the actual cutting height is recommended to be 0.8~1.2mm). If the actual cut height is inaccurate, it needs to be corrected.

2. Check that the cutout type and size are correct. If it is correct, check whether the cut is broken and whether the roundness is normal.
3. It is recommended to use an optical center with a diameter of 1.0 for detection and cutting. Light center detection should be centered at -1 and 1. Therefore, the light spot is small and easy to observe.
4. Check whether the protective glass is clean, anhydrous, oil-free and slag-free. Sometimes, due to the weather or the air being too cold during installation, the lenses will fog up.
5. Check that the focal length is set correctly. If the cutting head automatically focuses, you must use the mobile APP to check whether the focus is correct.
6. Modify cutting parameters.
After the above five inspections are correct, adjust the parameters according to the cutting phenomenon of the fiber laser cutting machine.

How to adjust the parameters according to this phenomenon, and briefly introduce the situation and solutions encountered when cutting stainless steel and carbon steel.
For example, there are many types of stainless steel slag. If there is only slag hanging at the corner, you can consider the roundness of the corner, reduce the focal length, increase the air pressure and other parameters.

If the overall slag hangs, it is necessary to reduce the focus, increase the air pressure, and increase the amount of incision. But if the focus is too low or the air pressure is too low, the slices will be delaminated and the surface will be rough. If there is granular soft slag hanging on the whole, the cutting speed can be appropriately increased or the cutting power can be reduced.
When cutting stainless steel, the fiber laser cutting machine will also encounter: cutting slag near the end, you can check whether the air source is insufficient and the air flow cannot keep up.
When the fiber laser cutting machine cuts carbon steel, there are often problems such as the section of the thin plate is not bright enough, and the section of the thick plate is too thick.
Generally, the brightness of 1000W laser cutting carbon steel does not exceed 4mm, 2000W6mm, 3000W8mm.

If you want to lower the light and make the parts brighter, first of all, the surface of a good board must be free of rust, oxidized paint, and skin, and then the oxygen purity must be at least 99.5%. Pay attention when cutting the knife: the double-layer cutting 1.0 or 1.2 adopts a small incision, the cutting speed must exceed 2m/min, and the cutting air pressure should not be too large.
If you want to cut a thick plate with a fiber laser cutting machine, the quality is still good. First ensure the purity of the plate and gas, and then choose the cutting port. The larger the diameter, the better the quality of the section and the greater the taper of the section.
